Esso Australia Pty Ltd - Kipper Tuna Turrum Project

Located off the Victorian coast in Bass Strait is one of the largest domestic gas developments on the eastern seaboard: ExxonMobil Australia's Kipper Tuna Turrum Project. A $4 billion undertaking, it will develop cleaner burning natural gas supplies to help secure Victoria's energy future, and holds enough energy to power a city of one million people for 35 years.

Over 3000 people are involved in the project, including engineering, project management, fabrication and offshore construction teams. Construction of the Kipper facility is due for completion in 2012, with Turrum slated for 2013.

Since 2007, Nuffield has provided regulatory support to the project including:

• Safety case production in compliance with the Act and Regulations for offshore platforms, vessels, drilling rigs and pipelines
